It typically takes a few hours to complete a prescription transfer. Be sure to enter a cell phone number during the transfer process, because your new pharmacy will text you to let you know when your prescription is ready.
If you didn't receive a text or call from the pharmacy, we recommend that you call before going in to make sure you don't have to wait.
GoodRx will send a confirmation email and text when your transfer is submitted so that you'll have all of your information handy if you need to contact your pharmacy.
We'll also send an email if your transfer doesn't go through—you'll need to call your new pharmacy directly if you receive this email.
