GoodRx and CVS Pharmacy are working together to make saving money even easier. If your prescription is already on file at a CVS Pharmacy or Target (CVS), use the eCoupon feature to have your coupon applied ahead of time and get text alerts when your order is ready.
In just a few quick and easy steps, you can have your GoodRx coupon sent straight to your pharmacy so it's on file when you get there.
Step 1
Search for your prescription on GoodRx
The first thing you need to do is search for your prescription on GoodRx.
On the results page, you'll see a blue "eCoupon" icon to the right of the pharmacy name for CVS Pharmacy and Target (CVS). Be sure to adjust the form, dosage and quantity in the menu at the top of the page so your prescription exactly matches what is on file for you at the pharmacy.
Then, click on the green "GET FREE COUPON" button next to the CVS Pharmacy or Target (CVS) and price. This will take you to the coupon print page.
Step 2
Get Started
Once you have clicked on the green "GET FREE COUPON" button, click on the blue “eCoupon” button at the top of the coupon print page.Step 3
Select the status of your prescription
You will next be asked to select one of three options that best describes the status of your current prescription.
If your prescription is already at a CVS Pharmacy or Target (CVS), select the option that says, "My prescription is at CVS."
Step 4
Fill out the patient and contact information form
Fill out the form with the patient and contact information (first and last name, birthdate, Rx number and cell phone number). You will want to be sure to enter your cell phone number so that CVS can text you when your prescription is ready. Once you have filled out the form, click on the blue “Next step” button.
Step 5
Select your current CVS Pharmacy
On this page, locate the CVS Pharmacy or Target (CVS) that currently has your prescription on file and click on it. You will want to check the address below the pharmacy name to make sure it matches the specific CVS Pharmacy where your prescription is currently located.
If you need to update your location to view pharmacies in your area, click on the highlighted city and state above the list of pharmacies.
Step 6
Review and Submit
On this page, review all of the information you’ve entered for your current CVS Pharmacy, as well as your patient information. If you need to edit any of the pharmacy or patient information, click the gray “EDIT” button in the specific section you need to edit. If everything looks good, click the blue “SEND TO CVS” button at the bottom of the page. You're all set!
The eCoupon will be sent to your CVS Pharmacy where they will add it to your profile for the specific prescription you selected. If you provided your cell phone number, the pharmacist will text you when your prescription is ready for pickup.
We recommend calling your CVS Pharmacy before picking up your prescription to verify that they received your eCoupon and have applied it to your prescription.
If for any reason the eCoupon cannot be sent to the pharmacy, you will need to bring the coupon with you to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist to process the coupon codes as normal.
