You can check GoodRx discount prices for a specific medication at any time by following the steps below.
Enter the medication name
Go to the GoodRx homepage and type in the name of the medication in the search bar. As you type, a list of medications will appear, click on the medication that best matches your search.
If you're already on a drug pricing page and want to look for another medication, you can search for it by typing the name of the medication in the search bar at the top of the page. As you type, a list of medications will appear, click on the medication that best matches your search.
Match the Prescription Settings to your prescription
While anyone can compare discount prices on the GoodRx website and mobile app, in order to use GoodRx discounts at the pharmacy, you have to have an active prescription for that medication.
Don't have a prescription yet? Visit the GoodRx Telehealth Marketplace to find the right Telemedicine provider for you and get a prescription.
To view accurate pricing, you will need to update the Prescription Settings to match what you have been prescribed.
Beneath the medication name and image, there is the Prescription Settings menu with drop-down options for drug type (i.e. brand name or generic), form, dosage, and quantity. Use the drop-downs to indicate the correct drug type, form, dosage and quantity – as written on your prescription. The page will automatically update based on your settings.
Add your location
In order to compare the best discount prices at your local pharmacies, you will need to update the location setting to match your location. Directly above the first discount price result, there is a blue location pin:

Click on the blue text beside the location pin to update the location settings. A pop up window will appear that will allow you to either click on the blue "Detect My Location" button and use your device's GPS to set the location, or enter either a new city/state combination or zip code.
To confirm the updated location, press the "Set Location" button. The pop up window will automatically close and the page will refresh.
Once your location is set, you will see pharmacies and prices specific to your location.
