Both free GoodRx and GoodRx Gold have some restrictions for when and how they can be used.
Controlled Substances
For GoodRx Gold members, please be aware that for controlled medications, your card will be accepted at the pharmacist's discretion.
HSA / FSA
While you cannot use an HSA/FSA account to purchase a GoodRx Gold membership, you may be able to pay for your prescriptions. Check with your HSA or FSA provider for more information.
Insurance & Medicare
You can use a GoodRx discount instead of your prescription insurance or Medicare if the cost is lower. However, GoodRx cannot be combined with your insurance or any federal or state-funded program such as Medicare or Medicaid. GoodRx is not insurance.
If you choose to use a GoodRx coupon or your GoodRx Gold membership, it’s important to ask the pharmacist not to run your prescription through your insurance or Medicare.
While you can still use GoodRx discounts even if you’re enrolled in insurance or Medicare, GoodRx cannot be combined with either. For more information, see Using GoodRx While Having Insurance or Medicare
For more information, see GoodRx Terms of Use and the Gold Terms of Service.
